ABOUT

Marielle on the Park

Marielle on the Park brings a rare collection of expansive condominium residences to one of Chicago’s most distinctive urban settings: directly across from Mary Bartelme Park, at the quiet edge of the West Loop’s energy.

A calm within the city.
A view beyond it

The Project

A New Standard for the West Loop

Marielle brings a new standard of condominium living to the West Loop: the scale of a private home, the ease of an attended building, and the discretion expected from Chicago’s most established residential addresses.

Set directly on Mary Bartelme Park, Marielle belongs to a more current Chicago. One defined by culture, dining, art, movement, and the rare ability to live close to everything while feeling quietly set apart.

LOCATION

Where the West Loop
opens to calm

Mary Bartelme Park gives Marielle something that cannot be replicated: open green space at the center of one of Chicago’s most dynamic neighborhoods.

Morning walks. Children at play. Dogs crossing the lawn. Sculpture, shade, movement, and the everyday rituals that give a neighborhood its soul.

Site History

Historic Geometry, Newly Composed

Before Marielle, this area was connected to one of Chicago’s rare Mayan Revival and Art Deco structures, designed by architect C. Herrick Hammond.

Its sculptural geometry helped inform the language of Mary Bartelme Park, creating a visible connection between architecture, landscape, and public life. It has also been an influence on the design details of Marielle, paying homage to a rich architectural past.

Architecture

Modern by nature, Rooted in place

Designed by Eckenhoff Saunders, Marielle on the Park carries the site’s architectural lineage, translating it into a contemporary park-front form.

The building’s slender profile steps inward as it rises, a subtle echo of the historic Deco and Mayan Revival language once tied to the grounds of the park. Around the windows, stepped reveals add depth and shadow. Expansive glass brings lightness to the upper floors, while masonry grounds the base to the texture of the neighborhood.

The result is a building shaped by architectural memory, park geometry, and community input, designed to fit the feel of the West Loop.

The Developer

A considered vision by Fern Hill

Fern Hill pursues projects that begin to answer the key question: can this place provide something unique and fulfilling?

At Marielle on the Park, the answer is found in creating connection to community and to nature in a rare, park-front site in the heart of the West Loop. The property allows a boutique scale that ensures privacy and precision. It promises residences with the character of a custom home and service that feels personal. The building itself is designed to be an intimate oasis.

Marielle reflects Fern Hill’s belief that great development is not about doing more. It is about going beyond the ordinary, protecting the details, and creating lasting value in places that are elegantly connected to the community.

The Team

Built by a team selected for craft, precision, and place

Marielle brings together a dedicated group of architects, builders, designers, strategists, and sales partners to create a residential experience with clarity from the ground up.

Together, the team is shaping a building that feels specific to its site, precise in its execution, and personal in the way each residence can come to life.

The Park Is the Beginning. Marielle Is the Address.
